Terms & Conditions

The fine print, in plain English

These terms apply when you book any service with Unleashed Dog Walking & Pet Care ("we", "us", "Jodie"). By booking with us you confirm you have read and accept them.

1. Booking & cancellation

  • New clients must complete the online consent form before the first walk.
  • Cancellations made more than 24 hours before a booked walk are free of charge.
  • Cancellations made within 24 hours may be charged at the full price to cover the reserved slot.
  • Block bookings can be paused with at least 7 days' notice.

2. Payment

  • Payment is due weekly in arrears unless agreed otherwise.
  • Bank transfer is preferred; cash is also accepted. Bank details are shared after the first walk is booked.

3. Vaccinations, flea & worm

  • Dogs must be up to date with vaccinations, including kennel cough where appropriate, and on regular flea and worm treatment.
  • Puppies should have completed their vaccination course before joining group walks.

4. Off-lead walking

  • Dogs are walked on-lead by default. Off-lead walking only takes place where you have given written permission on the consent form.
  • We reserve the right to keep a dog on-lead at any time if it's safer to do so.

5. Health, safety & emergencies

  • We will always act in your dog's best interest. If your dog needs urgent veterinary care, we will use your nominated vet (or the nearest available) and contact you as soon as possible.
  • You authorise us to seek emergency treatment up to the limit set on your consent form, and you agree to reimburse any costs incurred.
  • Pre-existing conditions are your responsibility — please disclose everything on the consent form so we can keep your dog safe.

6. Behaviour

  • Please disclose any history of aggression, reactivity, fear or resource guarding when booking.
  • We reserve the right to refuse or end a booking where we believe a dog poses a risk to itself, other dogs, or the walker.

7. Insurance & liability

  • Unleashed holds full pet-business insurance covering public liability, care/custody/control and veterinary fees.
  • We are not liable for damage caused by your dog to third-party property where it could not reasonably have been prevented.

8. Keys & access

  • Keys are kept securely, labelled only with a code that can't be linked back to your address.
  • Keys are returned promptly on request or at the end of services.

9. Photos & social media

  • We love sharing happy dogs on Instagram and Facebook. We only post photos where you have ticked the relevant box on the consent form.
  • You can withdraw photo permission at any time by messaging us.

10. Bad weather

  • In extreme weather (heatwave, ice, thunder) we may shorten walks or replace them with a home check-in for safety. You'll always be notified.

11. Data protection

  • We hold the details you give us only for the purpose of providing our services. We never share them with third parties.
  • Consent forms are stored securely. You can ask us to delete your records at any time.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. The latest version will always live on this page, with the "last updated" date above.
